A “Hat-Trick” for New Fertility Centre Assisted Conception Australia On the 30th anniversary of the birth of the world’s first IVF baby, Brisbane’s newest fertility centre, Assisted Conception Australia (ACA) opened its doors. This custom designed unit was launched by the Hon Mr Gary Fenlon MP, member for Greenslopes, and a hundred guests enjoyed the celebrations.
Only three weeks after opening, Assisted Conception Australia’s first three patients achieved a positive pregnancy test, delighting Scientific Director Dr Steven Fleming. ACA’s “Hat-Trick” was fabulous news for these patients, he said, some of whom had been trying to conceive for several years.
Medical Director, endocrinologist and gynaecologist Dr Clare Boothroyd, was also encouraged by ACA’s success and complimented the experience and expertise of ACA’s highly skilled staff and their wonderfully warm and caring patient support.
The new centre is a custom-built facility, with a comfortable reception area, a special privacy chamber, specially equipped IVF laboratories and a state-of-the-art practice management system, for the safe storage of clinical data.
