Making a referral

If you have a couple under your care who you wish to refer to one of the doctors of Assisted Conception Australia you can use the referral document available on this website (on the forms page of this ''for doctors'' section) or request a referral pad from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. To avoid duplication of pathology testing it is helpful to inform the staff of the specialist and Assisted Conception Australia which pathology company performed the antenatal investigations.

What else should I send with the referral?
• The following investigations can be helpful if clinically appropriate:
• Hormonal tests on the female, for example, a serum progesterone performed one week before the period.
• Seminal fluid analysis on the male.
• Report of pelvic ultrasound scan of the female performed on day 1 to day 5 of the menstrual cycle.
