GP professional development sessions GP education evenings in fertility management are run by Assisted Conception Australia and Greenslopes Private Hospital each year, as part of the Greenslopes Private Hospital Education Program. October 2008 In October 2008, Assisted Conception Australia (ACA) ran a very successful Active Learning Module focussing on assisted reproduction- from infertility, its prevention, causes, investigation and management options through to the nuts and bolts of assisted reproductive technology. Specialist Presenters Drs Clare Boothroyd, Steven Fleming and Stephen Cattanach covered topics including: PCOS, endometriosis, male infertility and IVF re/visited, and participants earned 40 category 1 points over 3 wonderful Wednesday evenings. To sustain the dedicated attendees an excellent light meal was provided to keep participants sustained during these informative and high energy sessions.
June 2009 In June/July 2009, Assisted Conception Australia held an Active Learning Module on male infertility, female infertility and how to support couples undergoing ART, how to assess an IVF unit and new laws associated with Assisted Reproductive technology (ART).
